Line & Shape
Reflection
I chose to shoot my photos at the school, in my house, and in my yard. I also chose to take pictures of any type of interesting lines I could find including shape. There are pictures of plants, fences, bookcases, pianos, and a swing set.
To take the picture of the plant, I took the picture from a bird's eye view point of view. I made sure to focus the picture the way I wanted it and got the sun to hit it at the right angle.
I chose this point of view because if the picture was just straight on, it would look just like your average plant so birds eye view gives it a different look.
I used the rule of thirds to compose the picture of the swing. I used it by putting once circle in the bottom right corner and the other in the top left corner.
The picture I feel most successfully used leading lines was the one of the crosswalk because your eyes follow it to the other side of the road.
I think the book case has the most dynamic composition for showing shape because each book has a rectangular shape and you can see that through different lines and how they separate them.

Texture and Pattern
Reflection
My best photo is of the fuzzy plants. The plants are all in focus and the background is blurry and you can't really see what's back there. I took this on my front porch and tilted the camera to get a crooked view.
I took this picture at an angle to the side and it was more below.
I chose this point of view because it gave the plant a different kind of look and make it more interesting.
No, I didn't use the rule of thirds.
The light in this picture was natural and the sun was behind the plants.
I think the picture of the spider web successfully used Pattern to lead the viewers eye through the image.
I think the picture of the dirt with the rock is the most dynamic composition for showing texture because you have the the different textures of dirt, grass and rocks.
